Wow … More than a month without a post … I tend to be lazy again - so it seems. But in fact I am very very busy at work. Soon I will write something about the project I am currently working on. It will be online soon.
I haven’t been to the cinema for more than a month too - which approves my busy situation. Anyway - I got a Nintendo Wii for Christmas (will post about that too soon) and Barack Obama is finally preisdent of the United States! Happy 2009!

Matchpoint was the best car hire bulgariaWoody Allen movie ever. And Vicky Cristina Barcelona (his latest work) wont change this fact. Not even the lesbian scene between Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz is changing my mind. But it would be harsh to reduce the movie to this scene (its not even long enough for this …).
Well, Vicky Cristina Barcelona is a woman movie. And I don’t say this as a bad thing. Its not just another romantic comedy. It’s a Woody Allen movie. With all the society critique and all the neurotics. Therefore I like it. But it’s also … hm I don’t know, it just didn’t get me that much. I give it 6 out of 10 points.

I feel like a little boy desperately waiting for Christmas and hoping to get his favourite present: a Nintendo Wii. It’s almost a year since I discovered the Wii to be MY gameconsole.
Now this weekend I was at a Wii-party and ever since then I cant stop thinking how cool the Wii is. We played Rayman Raving Rabbids - by far the coolest partygame ever. Even my girlfriend, who is not into computergames at all, liked it and had fun.
The only bad thing is that you spend way more money than think at the first place. One controller is not enough, you need a second Wiimote (comes with Wii Play) and a Nunchuck. Then Wii Sports is not as much fun as Rayman Raving Rabbids - so you need those games. They are for four players - two more Wiimotes and Nunchucks. And then a must-have is the Balance Board with Wii Fit … even while I’m writing this, I’m excited as hell … please, Santa, bring me a Wii - and all the equipment you can carry!

Weehee! That was a feast! The fifth traditional thanksgiving dinner with our friends was again a great evening. Almost everybody was there and it went on till the early morning hours. I can’t wait for next year, though I’m already wondering, where we will have this wonderful dinner.
So long, if you are interested in pictures, you can see them here.

When Friends ended in 2004, a great TV show found an end. I liked watching it and I think I saw every single episode. After Friends, I couldn’t imagine something similar would come up. Of course, there are really great TV shows like Scrubs, Malcolm in the Middle and so on. But those are good in a different way.
Then, a couple of weeks ago I saw How I met your mother for the first time. I’ve heard of it before, and it was said to be really good, but it just didn’t make me that curious to watch it. From the first episode on I wanted to see more. First season was good, second season great, third season was not as good as season two, but still great. Now I can’t wait for season four. I know it’s already out there.
Best two episodes ever are “Slapbet” and “Smarley”. But start at the beginning, if you liked friends, you will like How I met your mother. It’s simply legen … wait for it … dary.
