Disturbia

disturbia.jpgThat was a nice weekend! Going out on Friday, just watching TV on Saturday, working on Sunday (ok, that was not so nice), the botanic garden and then cinema. A lot of things done, but never busy.

I didn’t take any pictures in the botanic garden, in fact it was more a relaxing walk in the park than watching all the flowers and plants. So I tell a littlebit about my cinema experience: Disturbia. As you probably know, the movie bases on Alfred Hitchcocks Rear Window. And this flick is the perfect example of a modernised movie: The main character is younger than in the original, he plays XBox360 or PSP, listens to iTunes watches clips on youTube and so on. The movie is cut very quick, sometimes shot with a handcamera sometimes in bad (youTube-) quality. But it has some scenes that remind to old movies. When a flashlight lets you see the shillouettes of the murderer outside the window, you feel like in a Hitchcock movie …

But I have something to critisize as well. The lovestory is more or less unnecessary. In my opinion, there was one twist too less. It was more or less suddenly, when the movie begans to raise speed. So all in all, I’d giv it good 6 out of 10 points.
