Yesterday I saw The Number 23, the new movie of Joel Schumacher. This time he worked with Jim Carrey, who I think is a good choice for a psycho thriller.

Well Joel Schumacher is a strange guy. On the one hand he makes movies like Batman and Robin or Bad Company, on the other hand he is responsible for 8MM or Phonebooth. Both of his better movies (for those who don’t get it: the last two) are still not really fantastic. There is something missing in them.

And that’s how it was with The Number 23 as well. Pretty good idea, good actors, a cool atmosphere … but something’s missing. Anyway, I’ll give it 7 out of 10. It’s worth seeing, but not a must-see.

This weekend was great. On Friday we had a Poker Night - and I actually won something! Afterwards we were out and I had almost the whole Saturday for sleeping. Today was sunny and I was able to catch up with some things in work.

Yesterday I saw the final episode of “Six Feet Under” - great show, great finale.

This weekend was St. Patricks day! Weehee … I think I was one of the few who knew, but I was among the majority who drank …

Anyway I also finally saw “Pans Labyrinth” or “El laberinto del fauno”, so the original name. I expected a lot and … well, I was a littlebit disappointed. Too much laurels for the movie made me think it is hyperfantastic. It was really good, but not super. I liked “The neverending story” and somehow expected something like that, but sometimes the movie was a littlebit shallow.

Well, I’d give it 7 out of 10 anyway.

Its again over. After hours of playing, nights of not sleeping lots of beer and pizza, LAN LAN 4 found an end. This time we were more people than last time, which means a lot more fun. Battlefield 1942 makes so much fun played 5 on 5 (or more) …

As I always say after a LAN party, I hope the time to the next one will not be that long. It should be every half year or so. Now I start to feel sleepy, have to go home and plant myself in front of the TV to fall asleep there.

Oh and do watch “The IT Crowd“, it’s just too funny. Unfortunately there are only 6 episodes, but the next season is already in production and should be aired 2007.
