Desktop Tower Defense

dtd.jpgI’m hooked! I know I wrote I’m busy at work yesterday. And that’s the trueth, but still every now and then I find the time to play a little game. My favourite at the moment: Desktop Tower Defense. A very cool idea and a high addiction-factor make this flash game my current favourite.

So what’s it about? You can build different types of towers that shoot automatically on creeps that are in their reach. Every twenty-something seconds new creeps appear and move either from top to bottom or left to right. The higher the level, the more power the creeps have. And there are different types of creeps: flying ones, fast ones and so on. You have to build mazes with the towers to get more time to attack the creeps. All towers can be upgraded in order to obtain more damage or reach.

Have fun and be prepaired to get hooked!

London trip 2007

london07.jpgRecently there was only a weekly update, sorry for that, but I’m really busy at work … (sounds always good).

Anyway, besides working 30 hours a day I still found time to do a little trip to London, where I visited my special friend Monika.

The weekend was packed with action of different types:

Friday

After a not-so-pleasent-but-okay flight with Ryanair I landed at Stansted, took the Stansted Express and finally met Monika. Their apartment is really nice, but we didn’t spend much time there. We went out to have dinner at a restaurant where her boyfriend works. I had a great burger and I think I got a littlebit wasted afterwards …

Saturday

With me having a small hangover we went to a supermarket, fixed some sandwiches (well actually Monika did) and went to Victoria Park. We should actually meet some people there but we ended up lying there on our blanket, enjoying the spring sun on our own.

Afterwards, back in the flat, I saw The Office and was immediatly fascinated by it. Of course, there are some Britain-related special jokes I didn’t get, but all in all it’s a great TV-show.

At night we got on our way to a houseparty, where we had a scary experience at a canal … anyway we got there alive, had a great time and saw a fantastic electronic-computergame-style band from New Zealand I already forgot the name of.

Sunday

After not very much sleep we got picked up to get to another highlight of the weekend: Thorpe Park. I really enjoyed the theme parks in the US and always wanted to do rollercoaster again, so it was a great idea of my hosts to take me there.

Lots of adreanalin kicks and fun later we returned to London, tired and having no more power left than to lay in front of TV, having dinner and watch some more episodes of The Office.

Monday

Well, there wasn’t much action this day, I got up and already had to get on my way back home. The flight was great, because due to a nice weather I saw the ground all the time.

So all in all, great weekend, great time. Thanks a lot to Moni and Leon for their hospitality. You can see some pics of the weekend in the my picture galleries.
