Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End

pirates3.jpgLots of movie-postings recently … but this summer tends to be a cinema-summer - lots of interesting movies are comming up (can’t wait for grindhouse).

Yesterday I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 3. The first one is one of my favourite movies, part 2 was well done and the third one … well, honestly I didn’t expect much. But I was proofen wrong. The third one is much better than second one. Not as good as the first, but still, very well done. Hm … sometimes a littlebit confusing, but a fantastic Johnny Depp makes the movie worth the price for the ticket. And the almost three hours go by like nothing.

All in all, i’d give it 8 out of 10 points.

Gay teletubbies?

teletubbies.jpgHaha, from time to time some news spread over the world that are so weired, they can only be true. Like these days, some poland politician talks out loud that she thinks one of the teletubbies is gay and this should be a reason for abandon them from polish TV.

I mean, they are annoying and their educational qualification is doubtful, but gay? I didn’t even think the have gender. Or sex … hihi, imagine that, with their antennas on the head … anyway, it shows how far some people are with their tolerance. Even politicians, even politicians in the EU. Bad example for our kids! They should be abandoned.

An evening filled with action

running_scared.jpgYesterday was the last day of a long weekend (Whitsun) full of doing nothing besides laying in front of the TV (oh well, there was the Linzfest … well, lets not talk about it). Now its over, and I have to say I’m not as relaxed as I should be.

Anyway yesterday I saw two action movies I want to mention here. First was Hostage with Bruce Willis. Pretty cool intro, pretty cool idea, pretty good made. As entertaining as a Bruce-Willis-Action-movie should be. Not as good as Die Hard - With a Vengeance, but still worth seeing it. Good 6 out of 10 points.

Second movie was Running Scared. Never heard of it? Me neither. But the first minutes already got my attention. Very stylish film design, sometimes quick fast-forward-scenes, some incredible camera-moves, but no annyoing CGI-splurge. Some unexpected twists, good actors and some sidekicks to society … a tasty cocktail for a real good movie. 9 out of 10 points - A movie I might watch again soon.

Paradise Now

paradise_now.jpgYesterday I finally saw Paradise Now. I bought the DVD quite some time ago, but I just never was in the right mood for a movie about suicide assassins. Anyway the movie is really good. I liked it because it was different then I expected, like there was quite some humor in it. So if you have the opportunity to watch it, go for it! I’d give it good 8 out of 10 points.

Wild Hogs

wild_hogs.jpgYesterday I was at the movies again. Recently I was quite often … but before that was a long time no cinema for me. Anyway, I saw Wild Hogs. One of the movies where the trailer already has most of the best jokes.

It is just another comedy you can watch on a Sunday afternoon, when you have been out the day before. I would give it 5 out of 10 points.
