Disturbia

disturbia.jpgThat was a nice weekend! Going out on Friday, just watching TV on Saturday, working on Sunday (ok, that was not so nice), the botanic garden and then cinema. A lot of things done, but never busy.

I didn’t take any pictures in the botanic garden, in fact it was more a relaxing walk in the park than watching all the flowers and plants. So I tell a littlebit about my cinema experience: Disturbia. As you probably know, the movie bases on Alfred Hitchcocks Rear Window. And this flick is the perfect example of a modernised movie: The main character is younger than in the original, he plays XBox360 or PSP, listens to iTunes watches clips on youTube and so on. The movie is cut very quick, sometimes shot with a handcamera sometimes in bad (youTube-) quality. But it has some scenes that remind to old movies. When a flashlight lets you see the shillouettes of the murderer outside the window, you feel like in a Hitchcock movie …

But I have something to critisize as well. The lovestory is more or less unnecessary. In my opinion, there was one twist too less. It was more or less suddenly, when the movie begans to raise speed. So all in all, I’d giv it good 6 out of 10 points.

Goodbye Corolla Verso

corolla_verso.jpgToday I sold my car. After almost 3 years of hapiness, my Corolla Verso will get a new owner. I really liked that car. But the new one, a Nissan Qashqai, is already on the way. And its gonna be black. Just like my new iPod, which arrived yesterday.

The new iPod classic has huge memory, but it comes everything else than well equipped: the classic earphones, a synchronize-cable and thats it. No power-charger, no dock (well, there is in fact something that is called a “dock”, but its nothing more than a useless piece of plastic). Anyway, I have a MP3 Player again and don’t have to listen to radio anymore.

Lazy ape gets himself an iPod classic

ipod_classic.jpgSince I’m more into music again recently (now I have the new Tori Amos, Manu Chao and Linkin Park - but too short time to give a fair review), I thought I need something to play all this files on my hard disk - mobile of course. I already had an iPod (4th Generation), which broke down almost exactly after 30 months. Some might say “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice … never fool me again”, but I bought again a mobile music player from apple.

Now it is the sixth generation and apple gives you the choice between 4 different types: the iPod shuffle (1 GB, without display), iPod nano (new design, bigger screen), iPod classic (biggest memory) and the new iPod touch (kindof the iPhone without phoning function). It was not really a hard decision. Since the iPhone will come to Austria (yeah!), I think I am going to get one. But I think the memory of the iPhone will be quickly too less to replace a “real” iPod, so I decided to get an iPod classic, 80 GB. As soon as I have it, I will give a review what is better in the sixth generation.

And soon (hopefully) I will jump in my new car, the Nissan Qashqai. I think I will get the Griffin RoadTrip set to use the iPod in there … does anyone know if it works with 6th generation?

The Bourne Ultimatum

the_bourne_ultimatum.jpgThe third (and final?) part of the Bourne-trilogy is probably the first movie fully told in a chase. No matter if it happens in Moskow, London, Madrid, Morocco or New York; no matter if Bourne is hunted or fleeing by feet, car or motorcycle - the movie is fullspeed. Probably comparable with Crank, but way not as overstyled. The Bourne Ultimatum is (as the other two parts) something like an authentic action movie. Actually, in part 3 there were some unbelieveable scenes, but one can look over that, can one?

Alright, you probably already foun out, I liked it. I don’t really know if it is the best part of all three (I think I have to watch the other two again), but it’s defenitely worth 8 out of 10 points.

The iCar?

Ah, the iMania! Now I’ve read iin german economic magazine “Capital” that Volkswagen and Apple were talking about a cooperation. Will the iCar become a real product? What will be next? iHouse? iPhone? No .. that already exists … when will it come to Austria? Soon, little apple-love in me, now shut up and go to bed!
