Long time no post from me. Hehe, I could say I was busily working, but fact is I could find time to write, I just didn’t have anything to tell. The news from me today are not so big either, but since I’m spending a boxershort-day at home I feel like telling the world something.

The little-tiny not-world-keep-from-spinning news is about two CDs I bought. Thinking about it I figure I haven’t bought CDs for ages, which is weired, since I love buying CDs and listening to them up and down. Well, the booty of my expedition were the new Smashing Pumpkins “Zeitgeist” and the latest White Stripes album “Icky Thump“. Both worth listening, I can tell you that.

The White Stripes album is more experimental than the last one, “Get behind me Satan“. The first Single (same name as the album) already gave a preview on what you get: Minimalistic Rock witch distorted guitar riffs and the unique sound of Jack White. Best song is “Slowly Turning Into You”, I’d say after first few hearings, but the whole album gives you a well spend hour just listening to good music. Not a masterpiece as Elephant, but great work.

Now after seeing the Smashing Pumpkins at the novarock festival this year I was quite sure I will buy their newest release as well (as Billy Corgan told the audience at the concert). The time the Smashings were away seemes like never happened, I think “Zeitgeist” starts, where “MACHINA” ends, its just the next step. Songs like “Starz” sound like I’ve always known them. If you like hard rock, you’ll like “Zeitgeist”.
